about praeteritum

Praeteritum is a project derived from several translation works developed by me,
Ana A. Santos.

As an archaeologist, researcher and translator, I understand the inherent difficulties in studying the past, as well as the need to transmit scientific knowledge, which is frequently hampered by the lack of good translations of projects, articles, books, websites, and other things.

This is why I created praeteritum, a project still in development that combines my passion for the past with my fascination for communicating in different languages. It intends to contribute to scientific dissemination while allowing me to grow as a translator as well.

about me

  • Several language certificates, including TEFL teaching: I taught English for a year, to both children and adults, in a kindergarten in a small town in southwest China.

  • I worked as a part-time translator, since 2016,  in different contexts and international companies.

  • Since March 2021, I have been translating and proofreading articles, abstracts and scientific projects related to Archeology and other Social and Human Sciences.
